草加さんの訳文から、草加さんの見解にかかる部分を除き、一部の訳を修正してみました。元の訳文は草加さんの手になるものであり、栄誉と敬意は彼に捧げられるべきです（おお、地の文が英訳調になっとる）。よりよい訳はコメント欄等でご指摘ください。
なお若干の解説を脚注に付しましたが、これはテストをする前には読まない方がいいかもしれません。

*3:デフレ下の我が国においては、質問の当初の意図とはかけ離れた答えになるかも。よって「インフレ抑制」というよりもリフレをも意図したインフレ率のコントロールということにしてみました。ただそれでも意図する回答の分布とはかけ離れるかも。日本人の回答は左に偏る。
*4:英文だとこのgovernmentsは三権合わせた概念ではないかなぁ。日本だとどうしても行政府・役所の意味になってしまう。

*6:この訳は微妙。草加さんと全く逆の訳になっている。keep toはこういうことらしい。their own kindのあとに省略されているのがrightsだと考えて、「すべての人が同じ権利を持つわけではない」ということを意訳。どうだろう。……ご指摘をいくつかいただきました。それでも微妙。

*10:civilはあえて訳出せず。草加さん指摘のとおり、アメリカあたりでは911以降抑制されていると感じる人が多いんだろうなぁ。とすると、日本の感覚で「そうでもないよ」と答えると、権威主義的の方向にバイアスがかかる。
